The artistic process always begins with an idea; an image, a sensation, a vision that takes root in my mind. I capture it in a sketch, a first gesture on paper that opens the path toward its materialization.
The stone comes first. I seek it, I select it, I study its veins and fractures. From the quarries or from forgotten remnants, I bring it into my hands. In the studio, I give it its final form, letting it reveal the balance hidden within its raw body.
Then comes the metal. Cold, resistant, it yields only to the strength of my hands. I bend it slowly, by hand and without heat, feeling both the power of the material and my own physical limits.
At last, stone and steel meet; two elements that become one body. With patience, I polish the edges, refine the details, and allow the sculpture to emerge. It is in this union, between weight and lightness, between nature and force, that the artwork finds its true form.
